Obama and the Dems a Threat to the Family
In April of this year, I submitted a column to the Charlotte Observer, the paper that is my "gateway" to syndication, and my syndicator, McClatchey-Tribune, which dealt with renewed efforts by Senate Democrats and the Obama administration to press for ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Here is a link to that column (click here ). Both the Observer and M-T refused to run the column, saying it was political, and therefore not helpful to parents. I pointed out to them that they ran a 2005 column in which I criticized George W. Bush for a federal mental health initiative that, like the UN Convention, put the rights of parents in jeopardy. Their response was that editors edit. The Observer, when I pointed out that a person less knowledgable than myself of the motives of today's journalists might conclude that some bias was operating here, finally agreed to print the column on their editorial pages. McClatchey-Tribune deep-sixed it, thus depriving millions of American parents with information that is indeed very helpful. It is helpful to know...is it not?...that the ruling regime wants to control how the family operates like they want to control everything else in this country, from banks to healthcare. Here is a link to the UNCRC (click here ). So, now we learn that Barak Obama's Ambassador to the United Nations has told a group of 120 middle schoolers that the Party That Cares About Them is pushing to figure out how to get the UNCRC ratified. She says that it is terrible that we are the only nation other than evil Somalia that has refused to ratify. That, folks, is what is called a "red herring." A distraction away from the point. The fact is, Somalia has an evil reason not to want to ratify; the USA, on the other hand, has a very good reason not to ratify. Ratification of the UNCRC will undermine our freedoms more than socialized medicine because it will strike right at the heart of our democracy: the family. If the UNCRC is ratified, parrents will no longer have the final say as to what their children can and cannot eat, watch on television, access on the Internet, even what people they can hang with. In my estimation, the UNCRC is what the Obama Administration is all about: CONTROL. They want to control our lives from A to Z. Karl Marx, the architect of the most repressive form of government ever devised, said that the main obstacle to implementation of a socialist state was the autonomy of the family. If we let them have their way, Obama and his henchpersons are going to remove that obstacle. Please, please, read the UNCRC. Read my original column. Then read the document (click here ) from parentalrights.org. And then, please, pick up the phone and start making phone calls. If the people are not heard, then this is going to come like a thief in the night.

Two for One from John! "The Diseasing of America's Children," which I wrote with pediatrician Bose Ravenel (a founding member of the American College of Pediatrics and former advisor to Dr. James Dobson on pediatric issues), is perhaps the most important book I've ever written. As indicated by the subtitle Dr. Ravenel and I expose the ADHD fiasco; we expose the fact that no credible science would lead to the conclusion that ADHD is genetically transmitted or due to a biochemical imbalance or any other biological flaw (the same is true, by the way, of ODD and what is called childhood bipolar disorder). It may surprise the reader to learn, for example, that there is no such thing as a "biochemical imbalance." It's a myth, an invention, a means for the mental health professions and the pharmaceutical industry to make lots and lots and lots of money off an unsuspecting public that cannot imagine that people with such lofty professional credentials are simply making things up. They came up with a theory that is not supported by facts, so they invent "facts" that have no basis in reality. They use a bogus genetic/biological explanation to justify pushing the most expensive and least effective treatment approach: drugs. The use of drugs not only does nothing but mask symptoms for a few hours at a time, it also prolongs the problem and makes it increasingly difficult to solve. And solve it can be! Dr. Ravenel and I researched this book for ten years before writing it. The treatment approach we developed has brought relief to many, many parents of ADHD kids. The ADHD Establishment doesn't want you to read this book. It wants it to die a silent death in the marketplace. That's why we are offering you two copies of "The Diseasing of America's Children" for the price of one plus $4 shipping cost. One copy for you, and one copy to give to a friend who may need to read it.

columns and the ability to actually ask John your parenting questions
and receive answers! Click here to join today! To date, he, Diane Kottakis and Richard Daly, our resident toilet training expert and teen expert, have answered more than 4500 questions from parents in less than three years, all of which can be accessed by members. Unlike many websites that offer similar features, John, Diane and Richard have answered 95 percent of the questions asked by members during that time. This constitutes a large and ever-growing library of practical parenting advice, an invaluable resource in this day and time.
Again, thank you! You can let us know what you think by using the Contact Us feature. We’d love to hear from you. June 15, 2009 - IMPORTANT NOTICE: There
are now well over 5000 answered questions on the site. By far, the
greatest number - around 800, in fact - concern potty training
problems. Over the past few years, Diane Kotakis has answered every
conceivable potty training question. Believe me when I say she's
covered all the bases, sometimes many times over. All of her answers
can be found in the Q and A archives, using appropriate search words.
From this point on (June 15, 2009) Diane will only answer a question
on potty training if the question is completely unique and similar
questions have never been answered before. So, if you submit a potty
training question, and it's not answered within a week, that means you
need to go to the archives. Thank you for your understanding. John

Last, but certainly not least, a full Parenting by The Book Group Study Program package is now available! The full program contains a Leader's Guide, either 10 or 20 copies of Parenting by The Book, two scripture-referenced DVD presentations for group showing (each approximately 30 minutes in length), a supplementary DVD with two 60-minute presentations for individual or group viewing (each approximately 60 minutes in length), two 90-minutes CDs for individual listening, and a poster-size, laminated copy of John Rosemond's Bill of Rights for Children. Ben Hansen, aka Dr. Bonkers, is a crusader for sanity in the mental health
professions as well as the founder and evil genius behind The Bonkers
Institute for Nearly Genuine Research. For more information and lots of
laughs, go http://www.bonkersinstitute.org. Dr. Ben recently published
this comment on John's and Dr. Bose Ravenel's book, "The Diseasing of
America's Children."
"Recently I finished my copy of John Rosemond and Bose Ravenel's book,
"The Diseasing of America's Children: Exposing the ADHD Fiasco and
Empowering Parents to Take Back Control." I've read a lot of books on
the subject, and this is surely one of the best. The authors not only
attack and effectively demolish the fraudulent pseudoscience behind
ADHD and its treatment, but they also offer very good, wise, funny,
and helpful advice to parents facing the
difficult task of raising children. To any parent worried about their
child's mental health, I'll say this: If you read only one book, read
this one.
Kudos to Dr. Bose Ravenel and John Rosemond!"

from Thomas Nelson, we are able to offer a free, no-strings-attached
download of the first twenty-one pages of The Diseasing of America’s Children: Exposing the ADHD Fiasco and Empowering Parents to Take Back Control. This provocative and
challenging book, written by John and pediatrician Dr. Bose Ravenel, is
already causing a stir in parent and professional circles.
